Isaiah 58 who wants in!?

Postby yapheh777 » Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:51 am

It's interesting to me that deliverance in many cases in pentecostal circles is spirtualized. For instance it's a spirit that is controlling the church, or a demon, or a stronghold, or just the plain devil. I often thought I really needed to press into God to breakthrough to the next level. But I am finding that the deliverance Jesus is talks about is as simple as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, undoing the yokes that are around people. It seems like the real deliverance that people need is from themselves! It is not so much the devil that is binding the church, but our preoccupation with ourselves. It's an oxymoron to say that a true believer is bound! When we walk in the ministry of reconciliation we are partakers of the divine inheritance. So where do our white garments come from as Revelation 19:8 says, "Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear [the church/the bride].' (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints." So its true. Our purficiation is in righteous acts our deliverance is in righteous acts! Rewind! What righteous acts does Isaiah 58 say to do? (1) Loose the chains of injustice (2) Untie the cords of the yoke (3) Set the oppressed free (4) Break EVERY yoke (5) Share your food with the hungry (6) Provide the poor wanderer with shelter (7) See the naked to clothe him (8) Not to turn away from your own flesh and blood. What happens when we do this? (1) Our light will break forth like thd dawn (2) Our healing will quickly appear (3) Our righteousness will go before us (4) The glory of the Lord will be our rear guard AND MORE MUCH MORE. So what are your thoughts on practicing this? I recently have become an Ambassador for Mission water for Life with James Robinson. I am starting a 5k run/walk athon to different churches in my hometown of in Alaska! We are going to raise money to dig clean water wells! Even though I just got evicted from my apartment, my husband abandoned my son and I, and I had to move from California back to my home town, and I am on government support, God is showing me that this is the time to arise in righteousness not for the sake of piety but for the sake of the breakthrough for the overflow for the abundance He is calling the church to. I don't need so much a warefare prayer over me as much as I need to sow into the life of someone else who is in worse shape then I am. It's time for the Bride to stand white and clean. Let's run the race as in Isaiah 58! Who wants in?!

There are numerous aspects to spiritual maturity.
1. using God's promises of "ask, seek, knock" to obtain things from God
2. using God's promises of "measure for measure" to obtain blessing from God
3. using God's promises of obedience to be blessed by God
4. using God's promises of a new heart to be enabled to obey Him
5. using God's promises of hope to be enabled to be steadfast
6. using God's promises of godliness to see things as God does
7. using God's promises of fellowship to be blessed and transformed
8. using God's promises of agape love, which is God's ultimate goal for our lives.

Exorcism is something all Christians can do the moment they become a Christian and the Holy Spirit indwells us. In fact it is the Holy Spirit who does it through us.

Deliverance is spiritual, in fact everything that we do is spiritual. God tells us to walk in the spirit and so that we won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh. I think I understand where you are coming from in that we can't blame everything on the devil. However, we must realize that it is his job is to kill, steal and destroy and he needs us to be his instruments of unrighteousness. It all starts with a suggestion which leads to a thought then a belief then an action. There is a reason behind everything that we do. The yokes and strongholds that you referred to have to be destroyed by the anointing ( a spiritual thing) Strongholds take place in the mind, they exalt themselves above the knowledge of Christ (the truth based on the word of God). Again, I agree with the points you were making about feeding and clothing the hungry. Isaiah 58 tells use to do this but once we meet physical needs we most definitely need to meet the spiritual needs. We must yield our members as instruments of righteousness. Be blessed everyone!

It is time to arise and be all the things God has called us to be.

As for as your husband, have you tried deliverance & prayer for him & his friends?

Such a sensitve topic but one of great importance. I agree with you in that much of the fight is NOT the devil!!!!! Until we have crucified our flesh the devil doesn't have a problem with you. That is a big dose of reality. so mant of God's people look for excuses instead of facing our fears and shortcomings. We will quote and speak the Greater blessings over our lives yet we attempt to ingore the "I have learned to be abase and abound" scriptures. God is about order and balance. Submit yourself to God resist the devil... that is balance. I would like to encourage you in your battle. I have experienced the seperation from husband, homelessness and goverment help. It is humbling and not an easy place to be. Just know that it ain't over until God says that it is done. Keep reaching and keep speaking out. May the God of your salvaion cover and keep you.

nextnline is right. The Lord's Prayer is about God first, the world second, ourselves third and the devil fourth.

yapheh777 says, "...our deliverance is in righteous acts!"

My Sister, in all love...If you believe this lie, you're in for a LONG, HARD road of bondage and struggle. After everything you've been through, the devil would love for you to believe this so you would never address him thereby allowing him to continue to wreak absolute havoc in your life, in your children's lives and in your children's children's lives.
Rev 19:8, KJV, says, "for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints."...not, "the righteous ACTS of the saints."
From the Greek Word Study Dictionary:
Righteousness (G1344) -- to justify. The product or result of being justified by God.
What does the Bible say about OUR righteous acts?
Isa 64:6 -- "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;"

You said, "I just got evicted from my apartment, my husband abandoned my son and I, and I had to move from California back to my home town, and I am on government support..." YOU ARE UNDER DEMONIC ATTACK!! Doesn't sound to me like you need, "to breakthrough to the next level," you need warfare to break forth on the devil!!

You said, "It's an oxymoron to say that a true believer is bound!" This TOTALLY contradicts scripture. Jesus teaches that freedom from demonic bondage, by way
of the casting out of demons, is intended ONLY FOR "true believers." Mat 15:21-28, Mark 7:24-30.

You said, "It is not so much the devil that is binding the church, but our preoccupation with ourselves."
Believing this ideology REQUIRES, "preoccupation with ourselves." That way we would never even acknowledge the devil let alone bind him or cast him out!
Acts 10:38 says that Jesus, "...went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;" Not all that were oppressed of "themselves."
"Preoccupation with ourselves," in and of itself IS a deception of the devil.
Everything Satan said to Jesus in the wilderness was an attempt to get Jesus to focus on Himself. (Luke 4:1-14).
Everything Satan said to Eve in the Garden was an attempt to get Eve to focus on herself. (Gen 3:1-6)
"Preoccupation with ourselves," is a deception of ...the DEVIL.

You also said, "I don't need so much a warfare prayer over me as much as I need to sow into the life of someone else who is in worse shape then I am."
Question..."If you sow seeds into bad ground, what kind of harvest can you expect reap?" Gen. 3:17b-18a
We sow seeds in good, fertile ground. We give ALMS (expressions of compassion) to the poor. When I give to the poor, I don't consider it a seed because I don't wanna reap what they have. I consider it a gift.

Why am I saying all this? Because we want you to be free for real, for real! We don't want you to fall for the deception that Satan brings through lukewarm religious doctrines that provide a cloak for him. Remember, Eve never asked the serpent who he was nor did he introduce himself. He hid behind the lies he told her about God (false theology) and kept her attention on herself and not on who he (the serpent) really was.

Don't EVER let anyone lie to you or trick you out of your inheritance (deliverance),
(Rom 3:4a). Don't let anyone tell you that deliverance is not real or necessary.
You can not have holiness without deliverance first! (Obadiah 17)
Holiness is right and deliverance is real!

Jesus came to destroy ALL the works of the DEVIL! 1 John 3:8b.
Jesus gave you authority over all, I repeat, ALL!...the power of the enemy! Luke 10:19
The gates of Hell shall not prevail against us! Matt 16:18
You have the keys! BIND! LOOSE! Matt 16:19, Mark 16:15-18.
Cast the devil out! Matt 8:16
Pull him down! 2 Cor 10:4
Stomp on his head! Gen 3:15
Trample on Him! Luke 10:19
Put your foot on his neck and break it! Joshua 10:24-27
WAR FOR YOUR FAMILY!!! John 4:46-53

IN JESUS' NAME!!!

That was soooooo religious!!!! The fact of the matter sir life happens to all. Delieverance is very needful but that does not mean that you are BOUND!!!! You can very well be in a situation and the situation doesn't have to be in you. What we need as lovers of GOd is to build one another until that time comes. It is not always a RIGHT NOW come out. Get Real!

I'm loving this dialogue by the way. As people that love God (Yashua; G_d; Jehovah or even Father, depending on who is reading this post) we don't live our lives looking for demons under every rock (behavior or issue), and surely we won't turn our heads to the realization that life does happen to every individual. But we attempt to see this Jesus walk as wholistic. This means that we won't reject or deny any of the POWER from God, and we won't pretend that this life is all spiritual. We may have to fight and bind and cast out the devil in a situation, or we may have to practise just reaping what we have sown in our wild and crazy youth (Giddie up horse....laughing). Jesus would teach one minute, perform miracles the next and cast out demons around the next corner. But to reject either side of the previous few posts would probably yield a lackluster, imbalanced and yes Bound, life. I choose to bind, cast out, loose, love, deal with natural things as appropriate, but call in the big guns when there is a demonic stronghold and still make time to catch a Laker's game and go on a 21 day consecration with my church. I'm an advocate to being balanced, but I just love spiritual warfare....that is what I have been trained to do. And as always, MuchLove

A Timuchin! I'm a Christian that cast out demons in Jesus name by ministering deliverance, "NOT EXORCISM"!!! You may want to chaeck out the definition and background of it.
Well just in case you don't have time I'll give you a little of what I believe also coming from the book by Kimberly Daniels, "Clean House Strong House"pgs.168-171...
Check this out... "The seven sons of Sceva were exorists(Acts 19:13); demons do not recognize exorcists." "There is a difference between exorcism and true deliverance."
"An exorcist is not protected from transference of spirits."
So you may need terminology shift or something ok. Be blessed....
